Find links with search

Use Spotlight Search and structured naming to retrieve links fast.

Search works best with clean titles

Drock includes Spotlight Search, but retrieval quality depends on how well links and collections are named.

Search by multiple signals

When a result does not appear with one keyword, try the collection name, the saved title, or a more specific phrase from the source.

Improve search quality over time

  • Rename vague saved links
  • Keep collection names consistent
  • Avoid storing several copies of the same page with different labels

Use search with structure, not instead of structure

Search is fastest when your vault is already organized. It should confirm where something is, not compensate for a chaotic collection tree.

When search feels weak

Audit duplicate links, catch-all collections, and titles like Read later or Useful. These labels reduce discoverability more than most people expect.
